Busoni, Ferruccio

(1866-1924), Italian composer and pianist, studied from his mother, debut in Vienna as pianist, toured Italy, professor at the Moscow Imperial Conservatory, then taught at New England Conservatory, returned to Italy and taught at Vienna, Zurich and Berlin, composed 3 operas, concsertos(violin, piano), incidental music(Turandot), and arrangements of Beethoven Bach's music.
