Nadia Boulanger(1882-1979), French composer,
studied organ and compositions, won 2nd prize Prix de Rome, conducted in London, taught at Paris Conservatory, American Conservatory, Juilliard. Her students included Copland, Carter, Piston, Thompson etc.
Lili Boulanger(1893-1918), French composer, studied music from her sister, then entered at the Paris Conservatory, won the Prix de Rome, despite her health she wrote prolifically in a style reflecting the mainstream of French music, her works included opera, poem symphonique, and chamber music.
