Kraus, Alfredo


(1927-19 ), a distinguished Spanish tenor of Austrian descent, particularly known for the artistry he brought to opera's bel canto roles, studied in Barcelona and Milan, debut in 1956 in Cairo as the Duke(Rigoletto), sang in Turin, London, NY Met. He had special success in Donizetti and Rossini's roles.
