Klemperer, Otto

(1885-1973), German conductor, studied at the Frankfurt Conservatory first then at the Klindworth-Schwarenda Conservatory in Berlin. He conducted at Hamburg Opera, Bremen, Strasbourg, and Cologne; music director at Wiesbaden; he also conducted Los Angeles and Pittsburgh Philharmonics, named conductor of life of WalterLegge's Philharmonic Orchestra.
