Gorsky, Alexander


(1870-1924), Russian choreographer, studied ballet at the Imperial Ballet Company, then joined the Maryinsky Theater as soloist, he was one of the poineers in impairing realism and drama to the ballet. 4 Stamps depict the ballet scenes: a-Gorsky's portrait and The Daughter of Gudule, b-Don Quixote, c-Giselle, d-La Bayadere
