Franck, Cesar

(1822-1890), Belgian composer, studied at the Liege Conservatory, then at the Paris Conservatory, winning first prize in piano and composition, appointed as orgainst and precentor at the new Basilica of Ste Clotilde, also taught at the Liege Conservaotry. He composed symphonic poems, symphony, piano and chamber music etc.
