Dusek, Frantisek Xaver

(1731-1799), Czech composer and pianist, studied in Prague later in Vienna, he settled in Prague where for three decades he was a popular keyboard player and teacher. His Prague home and the Bertramka summer villa(stamp on the left) were centers of local musical activity, Mozart completed 'Don Giovann' there in 1787. His wife Josepha, a singer, sang the title role and other Mozart's operas.
