Mitropoulos, Dimitri & Skalkottas, Nikolaos
Mitropoulos(1896-1960), Greek conductor/composer, studied at the Athens Conservatory and in Brussels, conducted Atthens Symphony, Minneaplos Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and Metropolitan Opera.
He composed orchestral music and chamber music.
Skalkottas(1904-1949), Greek composer, one of the most important Greek composers of the 20th-century music. A member of the 2nd Viennese School, he drew his influences from both the classical repertoire and the Greek tradition.
